Nous avons passé un très bonne nuit dans cet h?tel bien situé à deux pas du Luxembourg et non loin de Montparnasse. Le personnel était aux petits soins, la chambre d’une taille habituelle pour Paris mais décorée avec go?t et le lit était excellent. Le petit déjeuner fait de produit frais à parfait l’excellente expérience que nous avons eu!

For sure this is a hidden gem on the Left Bank in Paris. From the moment we booked online until we checked out, the service was impeccable and we would go back in a heartbeat! We really enjoyed the location - not on a main street but rather a quiet side street within walking distance of many great restaurants, transit stops and lovely Luxembourg Gardens. We are walkers, so this was perfect for us. The hotel also arranged our transfer to the hotel after arriving in Paris from our transatlantic flight, which was very nice and convenient for us. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely on each of our two mornings at the hotel. If you are looking for a quaint and charming hotel, this is the spot. The price point, including breakfast and all-day coffee/tea pastries in the lobby, was also very reasonable for Paris - around $350CAD per night. Note they are currently undergoing some renovations to freshen up the property, but assured us they wouldn’t be compromising the charm and quaintness of the hotel. We would stay here again for sure!

Emplacement super mais confort à revoir
Choisi pour l'excellent emplacement.Personnel à l'écoute mais lit mal fait et serviettes changées en dépit de nos consignes. Surtout salle de bains sans patère et bonne lumière pour se rasere et chambre très petite inaccessible quand on ouvre l'ascenseur.

This hotel is NOT a four stars hotel: I had a room on the ground floor, no natural light, no privacy, noisy. Very expensive for the offering
It was my last stay at this hotel and I do not recommend it

Posizione ottima nel quartiere latino a due passi da boulevard di Montparnasse e quindi da ogni tipo di negozi e servizi. Il personale gentile e disponibile. Le camere pulite e silenziose. Per il resto la struttura, l'accesso alle camere, l'ascensore, la hall che funge anche da sala per la colazione nonché la connessione wi-fi lasciano molto a desiderare. Con un po' di buona volontà potremmo assegnare tre stelle, ma quattro proprio no!!!

This was our 3rd visit to Hotel Chaplain but found on this visit that the hotel is looking very tired and in definite need of an update and TLC. We first stayed about 10 years ago and, because the rooms are small, as are most hotel rooms in Paris, on this occasion it felt as if it was way past it’s best and consequently the room felt quite stifling and we didn’t feel at all comfortable. It was quite warm whilst we were there (for November) and with no AC during the night I opened the window (our room was above the courtyard) only to wake up and discover the room smelled of cigarette smoke! The breakfast was basic and some mornings they had what was detailed and others not!! The main redeeming feature of this hotel is its Staff who are wonderful - cannot speak highly enough of staff and is the reason I gave the hotel 3 stars. We love this area of Paris so central with lots of bars and restaurants but unfortunately whilst we will be visiting Paris again we won’t be staying at Hotel Le Chaplain.

Excellent service, clean rooms, very friendly staff, very cute lobby with 24 seven snacks, coffee, hot chocolate. Wonderful location, or you can walk to many attractions and the metro. Next to several restaurants and a wonderful tiny wine bar.

Other than location, which is convenient, this hotel is poor. Room is tiny. Shower leaks. Breakfast is poor. Coffee is terrible. Residents not allowed in the lobby after midnight - my son was instructed to go outside to conduct his phone call. How this hotel is rated 4 stars is a mystery. It is, at best, a 2 star hotel. Will not return.
